We are launching Whispers of the Kingdom, a live‑action cultural spectacle inspired by the epic storytelling and visual grandeur of The Lion King. The performance fuses traditional music, dance and storytelling to showcase the heritage of the Middle East, using stagecraft and puppetry reminiscent of the famous musical but anchored in authentic local culture.

Overview

Much like The Lion King, Whispers of the Kingdom tells a story about tradition, responsibility and renewal. It follows a young heir who must journey through the deserts and ancient castles of Jordan to reclaim his people’s heritage. Along the way, spirits of lions, gazelles and falcons—brought to life by dancers and puppeteers—guide him through scenes filled with song, percussion and call‑and‑response chants. The production’s costumes blend earthy fabrics with ornate beadwork and metalwork to evoke both nomadic and royal motifs. A live ensemble of musicians performs a score that mixes traditional instruments such as the oud and tablah with contemporary orchestral arrangements, creating an atmosphere akin to a cinematic soundtrack.

Key Highlights

We plans to tour Whispers of the Kingdom across historic venues in the UK and the Middle East in 2026. Tentative dates and venues will be announced soon. To stay informed or request the show for your venue, join our mailing list.

Immersive Stagecraft

The production uses large‑scale puppets, hand‑painted banners and percussion lines to evoke the rhythms of the savanna while celebrating Middle Eastern folklore. Performers dance through the audience, making everyone feel part of the story.

Live Music & Vocals

Original songs blend Arabic melodies with choral harmonies and primal chants reminiscent of The Lion King’s opening number. A live band underscores the action, shifting from triumphant horns during coronation scenes to delicate string solos for introspective moments.

Cultural Fusion

The show introduces audiences to Jordanian and broader Arab traditions—folk dances, sword balancing, and calligraphy projections—while still presenting a universal message about honouring one’s heritage.

Family-Friendly

Suitable for all ages, the performance includes educational moments where storytellers explain the origins of certain instruments or dances, making it both entertaining and informative.
