A bronze ceremonial vessel on a velvet-draped plinth inside a candlelit auction salon
The Auction House, Lot No. 001

A room held quiet, until the gavel falls.

Each lot is released directly by the maker or originating community, photographed in the round, and bid on in pounds through our token system, with a community royalty registered on every closing sale.

How the bidding works

Tokens are reservations, not spending. You only pay if you win.

Acquire tokens →
  1. Step 01

    Place a bid

One token equals one pound. When you bid, the tokens are held against your name, not yet spent.

  2. Step 02

    Get outbid

If another patron raises above you, your tokens return to your wallet within the same heartbeat. No loss for losing the lead.

  3. Step 03

    Hold the room

Stay the highest bidder when the gavel falls. Your reserved tokens become the settlement for the lot.

  4. Step 04

    Settle and ship

We finalise the auction, register the maker's royalty, and prepare the lot for collection or considered delivery.

Tokens are calculated at one per whole pound, rounded up. Anonymous bids are welcome with a name and contact, but token reservations only apply to signed-in patrons. Sellers cannot bid on their own lots.

Drag to turn the piece. It catches the light the way it would on your shelf.

Lots are photographed on a calibrated turntable at 36 stops. You see the chip, the patina, the maker's mark, before you ever place a bid. No staged angles, no hidden seams.

  • 36 calibrated stops, raw lighting
  • Condition report at every angle
  • Scale rule visible on request

Live with it

A piece earns its room over the years it spends in it.

Every winning bid includes a white-glove placement visit within the M25, climate guidance for textiles and lacquer, and a private viewing of two adjacent works from the same maker, in case the room asks for company.
